Lineberty: A virtual queuing app in Disneyland Paris

Lineberty is an app currently available to download from Google Play and Apple store, it is essentially a virtual queuing system used in France.

Within this app you can join a virtual queue to meet characters across Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. It can save you time on your day because you are not physically standing in a queue. Simply join the ‘queue’ and you will receive a return time and ticket number.

Whilst the app has been around since June 2018, I came across it myself around 3 weeks ago and straight away wanted to write a post on it, because it is so clever, however, I wanted to test it out a few times first.

Firstly, when you download the app, it will be in French, however you can change the language to English. It was really simple to change.

When you first load up the app, it will ask you to ‘take a ticket’, press this and all the options for the virtual queuing around France will appear in a list format, you can either select the list format or the map format. The list format is easier for me and I have selected Disneyland Paris as a ‘favourite’ so it is at the top of my list.

Once you have selected Disneyland Paris the two parks will pop up. Currently, there are no options for meet and greets Disneyland Paris park, however in the Walt Disney Studios Park there are options to meet Mickey or friends, Buzz, Woody or friends or Spiderman. (As of March 2019).

Probably the most important information about this app is to join the virtual queue at 9.45am in order to get a ticket. Anytime after 9.45am, the tickets are more than likely to be gone. I tested the system by logging on at different times of the day. 9.45am had great availability, 9.50am the majority of the tickets I checked had gone. However keep checking through the day., availability can open up, by either more spaces being added or guests cancelling.

Sometimes a surprise character could be added. You never know!

If you are successful in joining the queue, Lineberty will send a text message to your phone to tell you that your time is approaching. Simply show the cast members the location of your meet and greet your phone with the ticket number and return time. It is as simple as that.

Another point to note is that you will need your location settings on in order to join the queue. However, anyone, anywhere can check availiablity.

Have you used Lineberty before? I will be trying this on our upcoming trip in July. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
