Walt’s is located on Main Street in the Disneyland park in Paris.
Walt’s is a little hidden on your walk down Main Street and it could quite easily be mistaken for a gift shop so keep your eyes open.
Walt’s is the most expensive dining location on the Disneyland Paris property. So of course we had to get reservations. It is advised to prebook a reservation 60 days in advance if you wish to dine here.
The main lobby of the restaurant is filled with photographs of Walt’s childhood and achievements. It is also currently decorated for Christmas. It feels quite old worldy walking in. It is very pretty, you could get lost for hours looking at all the pictures, concept drawings and items of Walt’s.
I would also like to point out now, that I took SO many photographs in here. I am going to struggle picking out a select few for this post.
The exterior and the lobby.
The upstairs waiting area.
There are 6 dining rooms within the restaurant, all themed to the different lands within the Disneyland Park. The most beautful of all, the Fantasyland room.
We sat in the Discoveryland room, there were two little windows in this room, that if you timed your reservation just right, you could have a perfect parade spot.
We checked in at 2pm for our 2pm reservations, we were seated at 2.20pm and not told that there was a wait. Again with our premium meal plan we were entitled to a drink, starter, main and dessert from the set premium menu.
For starters I ordered the vegetable salad. It did not come how I expected, it tasted ok, however I would not rush to order it again. There was so much salad dressing that it was all I could taste.
For my main I ordered the grilled scallops, this was amazing. The presentation, the flavour, everything. I couldn’t fault a single thing and would most certainly order it again if I was to visit again. I would go as far as to say they were the best scallops I have ever eaten.
Just revisiting this photo again is making me think about how great it was.
For dessert I had the cheesecake, it is unlike me completely to order cheesecake in a restaurant but it was the best off the list. I must say, I am glad I ordered it. It was insane! Fluffy and full of the fruit flavours. The coulis were both tart and tangy. Another good choice by me.
Overall the expierience here was great. I want to say perfect but I can’t. The food was perfect, the theming and atmosphere were perfect, but the service here lets it down. We were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time, it took a further 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order, 10 minutes to recieve our drinks. From the moment we entered to the moment we left was 2 hours. Which I think is extremely excessive. For a top end dining location, 1.5 hours is plenty of time in my opinion.
What are your thoughts? Have you had the pleasure of eating in Walt’s? Have you used the meal plan or paid out of pocket? Would you plan to eat here on an up coming trip? Let me know in the comments.
