Sequoia Lodge review

Sequoia Lodge is considered a moderate resort that is happily nestled in between Hotel New York and Newport Bay In Disneyland Paris.

The average cost of a room can run upwards of €150 per night. The walk from the hotel to the park takes around 15 minutes or you can get a shuttle. The walk will take you through Disney Village, a small shopping complex with a cinema and restaurants.

The vibe I got from the resort as soon as I walked in was Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness/ Wilderness Lodge crossed with Hong Kong’s Explorers Lodge. The mountain retreat theming is on point and on par with the other similar styled Disney resorts.

The hotel is currently decorated with Christmas decorations.

Checking in was extremely easy. The castmember behind the counter was amazing. We had told her about a bad expierience we had had earlier that morning and she gave us a voucher for a free gift from the gift shop which was very kind. She also ensured she gave us a room that was ready so we could go and relax for a bit. We checked in at 11am, check in starts at 3pm, so it ment alot to be able to go to our room early.

Our room is a beautiful Bambi themed room with a lake view. I love the designs. The matresses on the beds are extremely firm but were amazing to sleep on. I do recommend you BYOT (bring your own towel), the ones in the room are tiny and barely cover a leg. There is also a distinct lack of plug outlets. We have both searched the room from top to bottom, there is 2!! 2! How can the youth of today survive with only two plug outlets?

We unpack and looked around the hotel, we found two restaurants that serve breakfast, we will be trying the buffet during our stay and there will be a separate review for this. The buffet is included in our meal plan, so there is no charge, also included in our meal plan are four free coffees EACH a day at the resort. Amazing.

Each morning a different Disney character will do a meet and greet in the hotel lobby.

Overall. A great themed resort with plently to look at. The rooms are comfortable and I’d certainly stay here again!
