Tokyo Dining is located in EPCOT within the Japan Pavilion, above Mitsukoshi.
A set of stairs in the middle of the pavilion will take you to both Tokyo Dining and Teppan Edo.
We were welcomed, warm heartedly by every single cast member working within the restaurant, the service and hospitality was the best we experienced on property on that trip. It was slightly overwhelming, but an amazing expierence, I made a point of saying to our server that we were so happy with the food and service.
We were given a window table and we could see right out to to the World Showcase Lagoon, we dined at 6pm, but if you booked a table around 8pm and requested window seats, the view for Illumination Reflections of Earth would be perfect.
The menu.
We chose a selection of starters to share between us, edamame, fried calamari and a sushi sampler. All the items are prepared fresh and you can tell. The sushi was incredible. I did not try the calamari, Sam ate it all. The portion was huge and was probably main meal sized.
For mains I had the Chefs Bento Box, again all of it tasted extremely fresh. Sam ate the beef that came with it and was not impressed, it was dry and over done. Sam had the salmon, he really enjoyed it, just a standard comment from him, that the portion could have been bigger. The presentation on both was lovely.
The restaurant was not busy, I guess not many people know about it because it is so hidden? I am not to sure, but we had no complaints about the place. And I will certainly eat here again for the same experience and possibly during the fireworks showing.
We declined dessert as we had plans to pop to Germany and have a treat from Karamel Kuche.
What are your thoughts on Tokyo Dining? Have you eaten here? Perhaps during the evening fireworks show? Let me know in the comments.
