Royal Banquet Hall is situated in Enchanted Storybook Castle on the first floor. We went on back the holiday Monday to try and book a table for that day, they were fully booked so we booked for the next day and were happy to learn there were plenty of reservations.
The next day we arrived for our reservation a few minutes early and were asked to wait behind some red velvet ropes. While we stood waiting we looked at some beautiful mosaics of the princesses and you can see inside BBB.
We were ushered inside a few minutes vefore our reservation time and after we checked in we met princess Minnie who looks very beautiful in her princess dress.
After walking up a rather stunning staircase with some even more stunning chandeliers above, you are taken to you seat. We were in the Sleeping Beauty room, there are different themed rooms to sit in. After we ate a lovely server showed us round each room, my favourite was Mulan’s room, it was clearly set up for the special occasions at it only had one large table, cherry blossoms over the walls and a gorgeous sliding door to enter.
For starters I had fishcake with salad, topped with mango salsa, it was well presented and a decent flavour.
For mains, I had Pumpkin Curry, all the food you choose comes with photos, the photo of this meal did not do the actual meal justice. It tasted nice and it was well thought out and well presented. The portion was a bit big for me so I could not finish it, but I gave it a damn good try.
And for dessert I had the Chocolate Slipper, a white chocolate slipper, raspberry macaroon, sugar glass and raspberry coulis. I felt this was more of a ‘show item’. I only really enjoyed the chocolate slipper everything else was just meh, which is disappointing because it looks amazing.
The service in this resturant was great, we were never waiting for our drinks to be topped up and we never felt rushed. I would certainly eat here again. Meeting the fab five dressed up in their royal wear was enjoyable and I thought it was so kind of the server to show us around the restaurant and explain the different rooms.
(Hotel guests recieve a photo like included, even without the photo pass option)
